Ms. Weghorst

Hello and welcome!

I'm excited for another year at St. Paul Music Academy!  This is my 23rd year teaching in St. Paul.  I previously worked at Hazel Park and Murray Middle Schools.  

I have a degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from Valparaiso University in Indiana. I grew up mostly in Indianapolis, Indiana and North Little Rock, Arkansas. I moved to Minnesota after college to do a volunteer program and never left.  I have adjusted to the winters quite well!

When I’m not at school, I enjoy playing board and card games, watching movies, and spending time with friends. I live near Como Lake and enjoy taking advantage of all the cool things St. Paul has to offer!

FUN Facts: I was the MVP of my high school swim team. I also was in a movie made by the Disney Channel about the desegregation of Little Rock's Central High School. (Sadly, it is my only film credit.) I've lived in 4 different states. Camels are my favorite animal.
